Prayer to Our Holy Guardian Angels
Heavenly Father, Your infinite love for us has
chosen a blessed angel in heaven and appointed
him our guide during this earthly pilgrimage.
Accept our thanks for so great a blessing. Grant
that we may experience the assistance of our
holy protector in all our necessities. And you,
holy, loving angel and guide, watch over us with
all the tenderness of your angelic heart. Keep
us always on the way that leads to heaven, and
cease not to pray for us until we have attained
our final destiny, eternal salvation. Then we
shall love you for all eternity. We shall praise
and glorify you unceasingly for all the good you
have done for us while here on earth. Especially
be a faithful and watchful protector of our
children. Take our place, and supply what may be
wanting to us through human frailty,
short-sightedness, or sinful neglect. Lighten, O
you perfect servants of God, our heavy task.
Guide our children that they may become like
unto Jesus, may imitate Him faithfully, and
persevere till they attain eternal life. Amen.

Happy Easter! He has Risen! Alleluia!
Thank you to all
the Teens who came to the retreats this past
week
and a big
Thanks to all the parents and grandparents who
did some encouraging. We had 67 teens who
attended on both days and I hope they enjoyed
the experience. Our young people are our
greatest assets and we need to continue to
nurture and help them grow. We are very
grateful for the NET team and for all these
young Catholic men and women who give so
generously of their lives to service of the
Church as missionaries and evangelists. I would
like to thank also our host families who gave
our traveling NET team a place to lay their head
and eat a meal or two. Special thanks to, Mary
and Manny Casillas, Petra Villegas, Kathryn and
Ralph Reves, Art and LaDonna Sandoval and their
families.
This has been an exciting week
for our Church
with the visit of our Holy Father Pope Benedict
XVI to the United States. I watched with so
much anticipation the Papal Masses and
activities. We have been truly blessed. Our
own Bishop Kicanas played a very prominent role
in his visit as the Vice-President of the
National Council of Catholic Bishops (NCCB).
Bishop Kicanas was right there the entire trip
with our Holy Father and next weekend on April
27th he will be here in Globe at Holy Angels
with all of us. He will be conferring the
Sacrament of Confirmation on 18 youth of our
parish and of OLBS in Miami in the morning. Our
Mass will be at 2:00 pm also on that day he will
be celebrating his own 40th Anniversary of
Ordination to the Priesthood. You are welcome
to attend the Confirmation Mass if you would
like or come by and visit afterward in the
courtyard and congratulate our Shepherd of our
Diocese.
This week
all the priests of the Diocese will gather with
Bishop Kicanas for our 2008 Annual Priest
Convocation from Wednesday to Friday in
Phoenix. We will discussing issues in the
Priesthood and business of the Diocese. Please
keep us in your prayers this week as we all
gather. Make sure you look at the Mass schedule
for this week for the changes in daily Mass
times. This weekend we will have our open house
of our parish offices you are welcome to come
downstairs after Mass and look around. We are
still not completely finished, but you are
welcome to come and take a look. Thank you to
everyone who helped to get things moved and in
place.
Yours in Christ, Fr. Rudy Rosales
