Prayer to Our Holy Guardian Angels
Heavenly Father, Your infinite love for us has
chosen a blessed angel in heaven and appointed
him our guide during this earthly pilgrimage.
Accept our thanks for so great a blessing. Grant
that we may experience the assistance of our
holy protector in all our necessities. And you,
holy, loving angel and guide, watch over us with
all the tenderness of your angelic heart. Keep
us always on the way that leads to heaven, and
cease not to pray for us until we have attained
our final destiny, eternal salvation. Then we
shall love you for all eternity. We shall praise
and glorify you unceasingly for all the good you
have done for us while here on earth. Especially
be a faithful and watchful protector of our
children. Take our place, and supply what may be
wanting to us through human frailty,
short-sightedness, or sinful neglect. Lighten, O
you perfect servants of God, our heavy task.
Guide our children that they may become like
unto Jesus, may imitate Him faithfully, and
persevere till they attain eternal life. Amen.

From the Pastor
Thanks again to
all of you on behalf of Bishop Kicanas.
Our Faith, Our Hope, Our Future,
Capital Campaign
was a great success because of your generosity
and desire to be good stewards of God’s gifts.
Holy Angels’ Parish successfully completed the
campaign this last week with
237 families responding (71%) and
139 making pledges (41% ) of the parish
for a
total of $369,975
surpassing our
goal of
$249,000 to put us at 149%.
Congratulations because this means that if all
the pledges are fulfilled we will have raised
$109,800
which will be
directly returned to Holy Angels. Holy Angels
will be able to draw on this account sometime in
April of 2009 as pledges begin to be fulfilled.
We are still receiving pledges which just
demonstrates your overall commitment to the
mission of the Church. God Bless you all.
This Sunday I am away from the
parish again along with children and Parents of
Holy Angels School.
We are on
mission duty this Sunday at St. George’s in
Apache Junction. Our trip to Payson was great
and I know that the people there will respond to
our message on the CTSO. I will be celebrating
the Sunday morning masses and the children from
Holy Angels School will be singing and
proclaiming the Holy Scriptures for the masses.
We will be presenting to the parishioners of St.
Georges’ the
(CTSO)
Catholic Tuition Support Organization,
explaining to them what it is and asking them to
financially support Holy Angels School through
this wonderful program. The CTSO offers all of
us the opportunity to take a dollar for dollar
tax credit from the state of Arizona. Anyone
who pays Arizona State Income Tax can
participate, and have the choice of giving, for
an individual $500 or for joint filers $1000 of
your money and giving it to the State of Arizona
or to Holy Angels School. Well I would think
this was a no brainer as some would say. We are
asking you as well to consider making a CTSO
contribution and take advantage of up to $1000
of your money and decide where you want to spend
this money. I hope the choice is Holy Angels
School here in Globe. You have up to December
31, 2008 to make this contribution. If you are
going to have a state tax liability for 2008
reduce that now by giving some of that to Holy
Angels School
Thanks to all who came
to this week’s Parish Catechis on the Gospel of
John. Fr. Jude Eli again enjoyed his time here
with us and hopes to be back next year around
the same time to finish the second part of the
Gospel of John. The Word of God has become
flesh and dwelt among us. This year the Bishop
encourages us even more to delve into the holy
scriptures in study and prayer.
Yours in Christ, Fr. Rudy
